San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Located across from the Yerba Buena gardens, the MOMA is known for its stunning architecture and excellent collection.

DeYoung Museum of Fine Art. Located in Golden Gate Park and newly opened in 2006, the De Young is one of San Francisco's landmark museums.

Legion of Honor. Located near Land's End, the Legion of Honor is one of San Francisco's most traditional and beautiful buildings.

Asian Art Museum. Located in the Civic Center, the Asian Art Museum is the largest collection of Asian art and artifacts in the Western world.

American Conservatory Theatre San Francisco. ACT is one of several preeminent theatre groups in San Francisco.

San Francisco Symphony. The San Francisco Symphony is under the leadership of Michael Tilson Thomas.

San Francisco Opera. The San Francisco Opera company features world class singers and a full season.

San Francisco Ballet. I go to the San Francisco Ballet at least once a year for their version of the Nutcracker.

Sigmund Stern Grove. Stern Grove provides free concerts every Sunday at 2pm during the summer months. Bring a jacket -- summer in San Francisco can be frigid!
